Clinical Expertise

Dr. Qureshi completed his basic and higher surgical training in the East Midlands. He was successfully appointed as the National Fellow at Sheffield Children’s Hospital in Pediatric Orthopedics. The National Fellowship is the flagship fellowship for Pediatric Orthopedics, since its inception as the first dedicated fellowship for Pediatric Orthopedics in the United Kingdom. Dr. Qureshi trained under the internationally renowned faculty to develop advanced skills in treating complex Pediatric Orthopedic conditions.

After completing the National fellowship, Dr. Qureshi was appointed as a Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at University Hospitals of Leicester – the first Consultant appointment solely dedicated to Pediatric Orthopedics. He went on to serve as Clinical Lead for Pediatric Orthopedics setting up a Tertiary referral center for complex pediatric orthopedics serving a population of over 1.5 million across Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. He set up the first one-stop baby hip dysplasia clinic and Ponseti clinic in Leicestershire and introduced single-stage hip reconstruction for the management of late-presenting hip dysplasia. He was a Faculty member for the regional Gait analysis multi-disciplinary team meeting in Royal Derby Hospital and set the trend for Single event multi-level surgery for Cerebral Palsy.

Dr. Qureshi is registered with the General Medical Council as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He is a member of the British Society of Children’s Orthopedic Surgery, the British Society of Surgery for Cerebral Palsy, and the Middle East Pediatric Orthopedic Society.
